Eric Roberts

One of the English-speaking world’s most prolific screen actors, Eric Roberts has amassed over 700 film and TV credits. Notably, he was Oscar- and Golden Globe-nominated for the 1985 thriller Runaway Train. But to Doctor Who fans, he’ll always be known for his larger-than-life portrayal of the evil Master in the 1996 TV Movie, alongside Paul McGann’s Eighth Doctor. Roberts first reprised the role of the Master for Big Finish Productions in 2019’s The Diary of River Song: Series 05, and has since starred in his own audio series, Master!
