Jodie Whittaker

In 2017, Jodie Whittaker was announced as the Thirteenth Doctor, the first female actor to take command of the TARDIS. She starred in Doctor Who for three series and five specials, from 2017 to 2022, with a return appearance in 2025. 2025 was also the year when she first reprised the role on audio for Big Finish, as the star of The Thirteenth Doctor Adventures. Whittaker’s other most acclaimed roles include ITV crime series Broadchurch, science fiction film Attack the Block, and Netflix drama Toxic Town, for which she was BAFTA-nominated.
