Katy Manning

In the 1971 Doctor Who serial Terror of the Autons, Katy Manning made her debut as Jo Grant, a civilian employee of UNIT and companion of the Third Doctor. She played Jo onscreen for three seasons, ending in 1973. She has since returned to Jo Grant – in her later years known as Jo Jones – on audio for Big Finish Productions, beginning with 2008 release The Companion Chronicles: The Doll of Death. But that’s not her only Doctor Who role – she’s also been the voice of transtemporal adventuress Iris Wildthyme since 2002.
