Tom Baker

Born in Liverpool in 1934, Tom Baker pursued life in a monastery before deciding on a career as an actor. He joined the National Theatre in 1968 and received two Golden Globe nominations for his first major film role, 1971’s Nicholas and Alexandra. From 1974 to 1981, he portrayed the Fourth Doctor on TV, bringing an eccentric and bohemian energy to Doctor Who and becoming forever associated with the role. He first reprised the role at Big Finish in 2011, and has appeared in over a hundred episodes of The Fourth Doctor Adventures.
