Louise Jameson

The young actor Louise Jameson rose to fame when she was cast in Doctor Who as Leela, a warrior of the Sevateem tribe. She played this companion of the Fourth Doctor in nine TV serials from 1977 to 78. Jameson first reprised the role for Big Finish Productions in the 2003 Doctor Who audio drama Zagreus, and has since expanded Leela’s story in The Fourth Doctor Adventures, Gallifrey, and other ranges. Outside of Who, her notable credits include sci-fi horror The Omega Factor, WW2 drama Tenko, detective series Bergerac, and soap opera Emmerdale.
